One of the most important life skills is about working towards positive mental health. Too often we are simply unhappy and that unhappiness manifests itself in out physical body or in the our mental health in the form of some sort of pain
Choice theory is based on the simple premise that every individual only has the power to control themselves and has limited power to control others.
Each individual has these needs: love, survival, belonging, power, freedom and fun.
The first step in the direction of choice theory is to identify the “Seven Deadly Habits”:
Criticizing, blaming, complaining, nagging, threatening, punishing and bribing or rewarding to control.
Identify these habits in your life and replace them with:
Supporting, encouraging, listening, accepting, trusting, respecting and negotiating differences
Grab your notebook and write down “Seven Deadly Habits”.
Then circle some that are present in your life.
