Your Crisis Team
Crisis Support When Your Team Needs Backup
Professional Crisis Response for Nursing Homes, Sober Living Homes, Residential Programs, and Community Facilities
Behavioral health crises do not always happen between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
A resident may become overwhelmed late at night. A client may experience suicidal thoughts on a weekend. A sober living participant may be struggling with relapse, panic, severe anxiety, emotional dysregulation, or another behavioral health concern when your regular clinical team is unavailable.
Fight for Life provides facilities with access to trained, licensed behavioral health professionals who can respond when a crisis occurs — during regular business hours, after hours, and on weekends.
Our goal is simple: help your staff respond quickly, support the individual in crisis, and create a clear clinical handoff back to your organization.
One Call. Professional Behavioral Health Support.
When your organization encounters a behavioral health crisis, Fight for Life can provide access to qualified professionals trained to assess the situation, engage the individual, de-escalate when appropriate, determine the appropriate next level of care, and help your team understand what should happen next.
Depending on the circumstances and service arrangement, support may include:
- Crisis intervention and behavioral health assessment
- Suicide and self-harm risk evaluation
- Emotional stabilization and de-escalation
- Substance-use and relapse-related crisis support
- Safety planning
- Coordination with facility staff
- Recommendations for follow-up care
- Referral or escalation to emergency services when necessary
- Documentation of the crisis encounter
- Clinical information returned to the referring organization for continuity of care
Your Staff Should Not Have to Handle Every Crisis Alone
Nursing homes, sober living homes, residential programs, treatment facilities, and other organizations frequently encounter situations that fall outside the expertise or availability of their regular staff.
That can leave administrators facing difficult questions:
Who do we call?
Does this person need to go to the emergency department?
Is this a psychiatric emergency or something that can be stabilized on site?
How do we document what happened?
Who follows up afterward?
Fight for Life is designed to help close that gap.
Instead of relying solely on facility staff to manage a complex behavioral health situation, your organization can have a defined crisis-response resource available to assist.
Coverage Beyond Normal Business Hours
Crises do not follow office schedules.
Fight for Life can help organizations develop access to crisis services during:
Regular Business Hours
Additional clinical support when your internal team needs assistance.
Evenings and After Hours
Professional behavioral health support when traditional outpatient offices may already be closed.
Weekends
A crisis resource for periods when many organizations have limited clinical coverage.
This gives your staff another level of support while helping residents and clients receive appropriate behavioral health attention when they need it.
Documentation and Continuity of Care
A crisis encounter should not disappear once the immediate situation is resolved.
Following the encounter, Fight for Life professionals can provide appropriate clinical documentation back to the referring organization, consistent with applicable consent, privacy, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
This helps your team understand:
- What occurred
- What interventions were provided
- The individual’s presentation and response
- Identified safety concerns
- Recommendations made
- Whether additional treatment or follow-up is indicated
That information can help the facility’s clinical and administrative teams maintain continuity of care.
Insurance Billing
Where the individual, provider, service, payer, and circumstances meet applicable coverage and billing requirements, Fight for Life can bill insurance for eligible crisis services.
This model may allow facilities to provide their residents or clients with access to professional behavioral health crisis support without building and staffing an entire internal crisis department.
Insurance eligibility, authorization requirements, medical necessity, covered services, and reimbursement remain subject to the individual’s insurance plan and applicable payer requirements.

Build a Crisis Plan Before the Crisis Happens
The best time to determine how your organization will respond to a behavioral health crisis is before your staff is standing in the middle of one.
Fight for Life can work with your organization to establish a clear crisis-response relationship so staff know:
Who to contact. What information to provide. What happens during the crisis response. How documentation is returned. What happens after the crisis is over.
